Chicago to Madrid is 8 hours in the air. We left at 11:40 a.m, and arrived in Madrid at 12:40 a.m. We slept some on the flight, but are very tired. It is now 3:35 p.m. in Oklahoma and I feel like we've been up for days!!!  It's only 10:35 a.m. In Spain.

Today's the day. No more "three days, two days". We're on the road. Chicago is still here. In the spirit of sampling its many cultural offerings while we wait for our flight to Madrid, we find ourselves in a Macaroni Grill, just like that one in Tulsa only not as nice and twice as expensive. This blog is available for you to read, if you want. Mainly, it is to provide a record of our trip so my feeble mind can remember things later, reminisce, etc. I'll add pictures later. We currently lack technology. We flew to Chicago in a tin can; not like a can of beans, but more like a can of tomato paste, or a jar of anchovies. Reyanna was our flight attendant. She was a big grumpy. I'm not sure I blame her. We take off from Chicago at 4:40 p.m. and arrive in Madrid 8 hours later at 7:40 a.m. We're planning on using the magic of Ambien to make it all work. More later!
